Sooooo apparently I'm blogging again! Quite the gap from October when I was in France, but we all go through seasons I guess. Sometimes I NEED to blog and other times I can't even force posting a youtube video.
Exciting things in my life right now:
1) A new job at Third Place Books in Seattle.
It's kind of weird settling back into a job after a 7-month vacation, but refreshing, especially because the bookstore is laid-back and community-centered. There's such a difference between 3rd Place and Borders, it's stunning. I'm not sure how many trade-secrets I can give away, but overall I'm glad to be out of the corporate setting (though I must say, RIP Borders).
Not only am I surrounded by books once again (I've worked three days so far and I've already bought two books), but I will be receiving paychecks! I am actually going to have money to spend and SAVE like the good old days. Saving money...almost forgot what that feels like. However, I do have a list of things I'm itching to get with those paychecks...after rent, tuition, and food of course.
-Red Hunter boots
-Yellow pants, much like these
-Dolce&Gabbana L'Imperatrice perfume
-A new coffee thermos
-Some vegetarian cookbooks I've been eyeing while I shelve books in the cooking section (not good when you're hungry)
And speaking of jobs, Dillon has one of those too. He's a financial adviser and officially starts on Wednesday. Such a grown-up. I'm really proud of him :)
2)In addition to a new job, I have a new house!
This keeps getting better, huh? I will be moving into a new house in less than a week. The house is a little further from campus, but I'll be living with 6 other girls in a house with a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and without black mold or weed dealers. Just what I always wanted.
3)My finals will be completed on Tuesday, which means Spring Break, and the inevitability of graduating in June. I have applied for graduation and am on track for my Political Science degree with one class left. That's right, I'm only taking one class during Spring Quarter. I guess I'll have to find some other things to fill my time since I won't be a full-time student for the first time.
xoxo
