prologue

Though I only got on a plane this morning (way too early I might add), my trip to France began 10 months ago in Dr. Davis' Intro to Politics class. He started recruiting students for his France trip and I fell in love with the idea of spending a summer in France traveling and studying. Not only that, but eating authentic eclaires, drinking my morning coffee by the pool and wearing summer dresses in Paris. Okay, okay, maybe I over-romanticized the trip a little bit :) We'll see if my expectations are met...

Over this last school year I've signed paperwork, gone to meetings, and picked up two jobs to get where I am today and it makes the trip so much more meaningful than I thought it would be sitting in my classroom an eternity ago.

Currently, I'm sitting in the Newark Airport...with Aunt Dawn...waiting for our flight out to Paris. I'll be keeping you updated!

  2. Capt. Boyd - it's after midnight Cali time - and Aunt Dawn is finally going to bed. That's already Sunday morning Honfleur time, and you're probably out for a croissant!
